I'm 23 years old and I have battled with obesity my entire life. When I was young, I was really thin. I hit puberty around 12 or 13 and that's when the weight started coming with it. In high school, I always considered myself fat but looking back now, I wish I could be back to the weight I was in high school. I've dieted on and off for years. I lost 30 pounds from December 2007 until May 2008 after I broke up with an ex boyfriend. Now though, I have gained back that 30 plus another 30. I hit my all time high of 240 pounds after working at a summer camp for the 6th year in a row. They serve all fried and processed foods. At the time, I was eating more than one serving everyday of the lunch that they served so I gained weight extremely fast this summer. That's when I hit my low point...the lowest I have ever been. I hated myself. I cried all the time. I was tired of this and knew nobody else was to blame but myself. That's when I joined a gym.
I've reached a few goals since starting my journey in September 2010. I was really motivated and started losing in September but then I started slacking and did not do much in October and November. I picked it back up and started dieting again and exercising in December. I try to exercise everyday and I stick to my diet all week. I usually end up having 1 or 2 (try to aim for the 1 though) spike days a week to kick start my metabolism again.
