I am living in Northern Wisconsin and enjoy boating, golf, motorcycle riding, walking, reading. My husband is getting ready to retire, so our life will be changing rapidly! Plus our daughter who lives close by is pregnant with their first child--our first grandchild. So many wonderful things happening. I've done all kinds of diets: WW, calorie count, low fat, you name it. A few years ago I lost 30 lbs on calorie count. But gained almost 20 back and nothing has been working. So I am now on Adkins, started induction a few days ago. I'd love to chat with you.

Hello all, just found this website yesterday and signed up. I started Adkins induction on 4/9/13. Never done low carb so it is a whole new experience. So far I am amazed that I don't feel hungry between meals. Am still having a hard time wrapping my head around eating all this fat. Anyone else?? Also I do miss my fruit. But am determined to stay with it because I have lost 3.8 lbs in less than a week. Probably water, but who cares..I'll take it!!

Ketosis Question
Hi, just joined fatsecret today and I started Adkins induction on Tuesday. Never heard of those strips to test keytones. Thanks so much for mentioning it, will pick some up. I weighed myself after the second day, which was Thursday and I was down 3.8!! WOW I couldn't believe it. Hope I didn't jinkz it!! The Adkins site is horrible for tracking meals. So far this one is going much better.

Sensitive belly issue?
thanks for the tip, I will try it. This low carb is totally new to me, have done WW, low fat off and on for several years. Lost about 30 lbs 3 yrs ago but gained back 20. Decided to try a whole new approach.

Hello, I'm on day 4 of Adkins induction and going great, no hunger pangs but my stomach is bloated. No irregularity problems tho. Any suggestions or ideas?
