I'm discovering that weight training is truly the fountain of youth! After years of cardio chasing the rabbit, I've switched to 100% weight training with long walks in our beautiful river valley for relaxation and therapy - sometimes you just gotta walk to clear your head!

I'm a lifelong lover of the outdoors, and the proud Momma to two wonderful grown kidlets and their significant others. I love to cook (eating pretty much clean), but Fridays are for Adams Chunky Peanut Butter and movie theatre buttered popcorn.

Getting to KNOW YOU, la la la laaa la laaa laaa
My name comes from the H3 - a drinking club with a running problem. After training runs we would retreat to a pizza joint where I'd order a single serving pizza and eat half, then take the other half home for lunch the next day - hence: halfeaten. It's much better (and safer!) than the other two names that were offered up at the naming circle! I hail from Edmonton AB, Canada. We're experiencing a brief reprieve from winter (4C today!) after a month and a half of windchills down to -40C. That's flippin' cold.

excercise at home.
I have my mountain bike on a trainer in my living room and jump on that for an hour every night about 7:30ish, depending on when I'm finished with my weights (if it's a weight day). If nothing's on the tube, I plug in a BSG DVD, but love watching episodes of "Biggest Loser" or "Work Out"; they really keep me motivated. Friends and family know that if they call between 7:00 and 9:00 I won't answer. Best thing about a trainer - I don't have to worry about getting in a ride before I lose the light.
