Calories
GogglesPaesano I thought the same as you. How could I be showing such a big differnce in calories in and out and not losing the weight that I should based on the 3500=1 lb. I thought that the formula and the calories given ont he site were wrong or I was not recording all my food correctly.
What I realized after reading a lot of insightful posts was that some of the calories I was buring were not going away but converting to muscle. An example as I see it is if I take in 2000 calories and burn 3500 for the day and of that 3500 burned 700 were from excersize. How many of the 700 burned went to form more muscle?
From Novemeber until now I have lost about 45 lbs. It was a lot easier in the beginning to lose the weight with little excersize and watching the calorie intake. For the last 3-4 weeks I noticed that I do not see big losses like I did whan I started and I am working out more now that I did when I started. But what I am noticing is that my legs and arms are showing more defination and my waste is getting smaller. This is telling me that some of those "fat" calories I am burning are converting to muscle.
I guess all I am saying is stick with it. Don't worry about the day to day numbers but look at the entire picture. And in the long run you will WIN! JMHO

Still motivated
Monday was the 8th day in a row, of going to the gym. The moble app sure does help with the tracking of food and exercise.
