I have a crazy life. I work too much on the computer. I use to sit in front of the television to do my work and eat at the same place and its just became a continuous feed of junk food. I didnt get much work done. So I am changing everything. I am counting calories. I am counting everything that I eat. The Food journal here is great. I would like it more if it included the number of glasses of water I consume in a day so I can see that I am meeting that goal as well. I basically hate the way I look and feel.
I have been sleeping way too many hours. I will fall asleep at the drop of a hat for no reason. I hate that! I pee too much in the middle of the night. Every two hours I make a full awake bathroom trip. Its hell on my body as it feels like its not sleeping then I feel like I must sleep more hours. I am hoping a continued exercise regime will assist me.
Ok so back to the job. I have designated a desk away from television to do my work at. There is no food allowed in this area. I must go to my dining room table to eat. And yes I must record accurately all that I eat.
So my friend gave me a diet plan that she is using from her trainer. Breakfast is oatmeal or grits with 3 egg whites. Snacks are yogurt with protein bar or granola bar, sometimes fruit of strawberries or apple. Lunch is grilled chicken or tuna with salad no salad dressing. Dinner is grilled chicken or fish with brown or white rice and vegetable like broccoli, spinach, or cauliflower. Although I have modified it some. I want to maximize protein because I feel it takes the body longer to process and I should feel full longer. then again I have heard maximize fiber to feel full So not sure what theory to follow.
I went to Morocco in 2009 and lost 30 pounds in a month when I was there. I walked everywhere we went. We shared food from one plate so no one overate. I was also having diarrhea, vomiting and feeling really nasty from the water. Since I am recording all I eat I know I will exert some portion control because I tend to like to be competitive and challenge myself. Now all I have to do is incorporate exercise. Unfortunately I have no money for a trainer or big fancy gym. I have my two feet, my own body a few yoga videos and thats about it. So walking seems to be the best thing added with a few situps, possible pushups and some yoga videos. I dont work out based on distance but on time. I must do minimum one hour daily of physical exercise and housekeeping is not included. Any advise or help is beneficial.
I dont have a scale at my house. I will have weigh-ins only when I visit my friends house and can check it there on her scale. I dont want to become obsessive about every pound or fluctuations.
