I have been married for almost 16 years. I have two beautiful children (9, 4). I work full time and am finishing up my MLA. I work in corrections. I have been dieting on and off most of my life and I want to end this vicious cycle! My weight is 286, the highest ever - even through my pregnacies. I am tired of being tired, fat and miserable and am ready to make some serious changes!!!

Has anyone done Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred?
I did the 30 day Shred last year pretty regular for a short period. It definitely kicked my butt but it was a great workout. I weigh more now than I did last year and I have had carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists, so I have absolutely no strength in my hands. I need to dust it off and give it a whirl again. I have also recently gotten Zumba cd's and the basic workout kicked me in the butt as well. It really stinks for me to be so out of shape and have so many body parts moving in different directions at once!!!!

Introduction
Hello! My name is Fonda and I am new to this site. I have always struggled with my weight but the last few years have been the worst! I weigh more now than I did 9 months pregnant with either one of my children. I am fat and miserable but can not seem to get in the right mindset to do anything about it. I keep wondering if something drastic to me is going to have to happen for me to wake up and commit to changing my life and bad habits.

I am married to a wonderful husband and have two beautiful children (9,4). They are usually supportative in my dietary changes but have all commented on my weight (one way or another - not intentionally hurtful) and my husband has recently told me to either stop dieting or stay on a diet because I always gain back more than what I lose!

I have not really chosen a plan - lower carb works better with me and helps with my mood swings, but I have difficulty sticking to it.
