Feeling AWFUL after exercising
It's just odd to me, because for about three weeks, the high cardio routine was really working. It was tough, but I felt wonderful after working out and I didn't get so thirsty. I try to eat something small before and then something small after, but I don't really pay much attention to what it is that I'm eating, usually fruit or vegetables, but no attention to the amount of protein or carbohydrates in it.
&yeah, I realize that the amount on the machine is probably quite off, but my heart rate stays at roughly 160-175, so I figure it's not *too* far off.
Even though I understand why weight training is important, etc. I still seem to have the girly attitude of refusing to want to use weights. That's something that I need to work harder to change.
Schmetter- I know water is great, but when I drink while I'm working out, I either get an upset stomach very easily, or the small sips just make me even thirstier. It's a silly problem. I don't really have any option of group training, and I don't mind working out. It's one of those "just do it" things for me. I switch between the treadmill, the elliptical and a stair stepper machine.

I'll try and look into what I can try to eat before and after that may help. Thanks everyone. Smile

I've been eating more lately, too much for me to bother recording it! XD
Cardio seems like the best option for weight loss, I thought anyways. I'm not losing much though, despite all of the cardio. :Z

Feeling AWFUL after exercising
So for a couple of weeks I have been going to the gym [mostly every day, with a few exceptions] and on one day working out until the machine/heart rate monitor says I burned 1000calories. Then, on every other day, I do this until 500calories. The first time I did this, I felt AMAZING afterwards. It was a huge jump from my previous workout plan, but I felt like I needed to really get serious. [I have also been eating fairly healthy--more fruits and vegetables with occasional "bad" foods sprinkled in, but it much smaller portions than before].

Now the problem...I started to find that during my workouts, I would get so thirsty, but when I drank while working out, that would make me feel not so great and even thirstier. So lately, I drink about 10ounces while exercising [for about 45minutes-1.5hours] and hydrate after. For the first couple weeks, I would get that post workout endorphin boost, and feel very accomplished. Now, I feel worse than when I started, and really regret exercising, because then my head aches so bad and I feel dizzy and nauseous. It makes working out a lot more difficult when you know you're going to feel mentally and physically disgusting after. HELP! I don't want my exercise to be in jeopardy!
