I need help finding my motivation again :(
I can really relate to your post. I had a hysterectomy a year ago, and haven't been on this site since. I kept getting reminders - "hey, you need to weigh in! Only 14.5 lbs to go!" But I was so embarrassed that I had let myself slide. I've been looking for motivation as well, especially since my hormones are WILD. All I can say is for whatever reason, I logged onto this site this morning, and the first thing I saw was your post. Which reminded me - we're not alone. I heard Oprah in my head, "if you wait for the motivation, it will never come". I got off the couch, and took the dogs for a long walk. No mind-talk, no excuses, I just did it. For the past year, I've heard everyone say, "give yourself a break. Don't do too much." I've decided the time has come to expect more from myself. The exercise felt great! I'm sure your intent was to get motivation from others, but I want you to know that you, in turn, motivated me.
