I have struggled with my weight my whole life and when, at age 25, I weighed myself to find that I was 220 pounds, the heaviest I have been ever, I cried. It is one thing to perceive myself as being overweight but it is another to realize it is true. What makes it worse for me is that 2 years ago I started running and watching what I ate and got to 160 pounds. Unfortunately, I injured my knee and my doctor said I couldn't run anymore. I didn't bother to replace the running with anything else and the result is that I gained it all back plus more. That said, since May I have lost 15 pounds and am trying to keep it going. I started by walking home from work (1 hour) then started cycling both ways instead (25 mins each way). I just started back at the gym doing weights and cardio (1 hour, 3 times per week). I realize that clean eating is a big factor and that is why I am here. I realized that tracking my losses is a very important part. The last time I lost weight I didn't track it and couldn't see how far I had come until it was too late. This time I am losing the weight for good. I don't want health problems. I don't want to pass bad habits on to my future children. I want to be a happy, healthy woman who feels beautiful inside and out. I want to be Fit4Life!
