I'm trying to lose the last of my baby weight. My last pre-pregnancy weight was 138 and my all-time adult goal weight is 135, a number that I haven't seen very often.
After Thanksgiving I switched from Atkins to Calorie Count because I need help with portion control.
I have switched to slow carb to see if i can lose more weight. calorie count was getting too easy to take breaks from....

Evening Cravings
Evening snacking has been a real weakness of mine in the past. I agree with everyone else about planning snacks in your calories for the day. Keeping trigger foods out of the house is a major one for me as well. I actually threw out the rest of a birthday cake last night because i could not stop thinking about it in the refrigerator.
To combat night time over eating I have been drinking hot tea during TV time. Before I had kids I would go to the gym in the evenings to keep myself from snacking so if your schedule is flexible, eat all your good nutritious food all day and work out at night.

When to stop eating
Hot tea while watching TV in the evening has been very helpful for me. I've started drinking it at work between my water bottle refills as well.

I deal with cravings a couple of ways. First is by making sure I don't allow myself to get very hungry, that keeps me in control. Switching to Calorie Count has allowed me to be flexible with my foods. If I really want something I work it into my daily calorie plan. Another thing I do is try to wait a couple days and see if I still really need it. I use this trick if its something I don't normally keep in my house like candy or french fries. Occasionally, a healthy version of the craving will help too.

I agree with the other posters. If you are only eating 800 calories or so per day you are starving your body. Not only will it stall weight loss but you could become malnourished unless under a doctor's supervision.
