By my late 20's at 5'11' I was weighting almost 300lbs. That the point the scale resets back to zero. It sucked trying to run after the bus or just "running to work" since I would be out of breath for a long time and even feel sick.

For many reasons I decided to change. I actually managed to lose around 110lbs in the next 2 years which brought me to around 190lbs. Not the ideal weight but it was the difference between day and night, everyone was so happy and amazed. I was in the best shape of my life at that point. Gained some muscles and had good cardio thanks to cycling.

Now, in my early 30's I am back in University and over the last 2-3 years I gained back around 50lbs (at 245lbs). The Plan is to lose all that again. I did it before so I just have to do it again. I am still in a better physical shape than when I was 300lbs years ago (Thanks to my previous gym/bike training) so it's all about the willpower to go trough it. I hope that by summer 2012 I will be back below 200lbs again.

If you never lose weight before and you think you can never lose 100lbs or more, trust me it can be done. Once you begin to lose the first 15-20lbs it's just the matter of keeping the momentum.
