Hi :)

Where to start? Hmmmm... I guess The basics will do, for now. I'm a 48 yr old mother of a 24 yr. old son, 22 yr. old daughter, a sixteen year old daughter, and a very emotional playful and needy 3 yr. old Golden Retriever named Farley. This is my second marriage, it's been ten years and still going strong, because he is truly the love of my life.

My daughters both still live at home, as does Farley, of course. My son lives back up North, as the rest of us moved to florida four years ago, We live on a gorgeous Island, and I've never been so happy... except for my weight. The reason wht I've mentioned Farley so much, is that oddly enough, he was one of the main triggers in my resolve to lose weight and get fit. Yes, I'm doing it for my husband and my kids and even myself, but my poor pooch was so sad about me not wanting to go to the beach, or the park or take walks or play ball, that he about broke my heart. For all you dog lovers out there, I'm sure you are well aware of how much of a guilt trip your pampered pooch can put on you.

I started Atkins on March 6, and lost ten pounds in the first month. All from my face, I think. I did Atkins once before, 8 yrs ago, but with time and numerous surgeries, I let it all go and gained back all my weight PLUS ten xtra pounds!

This time I'm doing it for life. If I ever lose sight of that lifetime promise to myself, please put the boots to me!

I'm looking forward to making friends here and sharing our journey together!
