I am a 20-year-old in an 83-year-old body. No complaints here. Married for 59 years on May 7th with a daughter and 2 sons all in their 50's. Two teen grandchildren. Native NY'er who left in the 70's and worked as an RN, mostly in the ER, all over the US and AK. I did this until I turned 75 and we had relocated. I am a watercolor artist(not professional), quilter, knitter and antique lover. I have a dog and a cat. Surviving multiple medical issues and keeping on top of things. I admit that I enjoy being in control and having things done my way, which is always according to the rules. As you can see I now have a face and thanks to all of you who never give up on me. I'm a Virgo so I never give up and love to be in control, always play by the rules and expect nothing less from others. I am not the most popular color in the crayon box, because being from NY my accent annoys a lot of people and I am automatically expected to be rude. Even though I no longer live there I miss the forgiveness of NY'ers.

I am returning after a year of poor health and stress due to family medical problems. I am here in "full steam ahead" mode and just love being back because I know now, this is MY THERAPY.

Anyone with RA and Thyroid problems?
Hi, I just posted this question on a site today. One year ago I changed from hypo to hyper and Graves sole . I take methimazole daily to control my thyroid hormones. I had lost 40 lbs on KETO and I was so happy until my thyroid started working overtime and I was told the weight loss was probably due to that. Many setbacks this past few months with TSH going crazy. I am sure StRESS levels are running my life for the last 2 1/2 yrs and triggers autoimmune diseases. I have been able to lose 8 lbs but it took a long time. Stopped losing and have just come back to FS hopefully to get back on track and stop being so careless.

not calculating my net carbs properly
I'm still not happy navigation FS and hope this is OK. I noticed that you use Half and Half and wondered why you don't use heavy cream 40%= no carbs and no chemicals? Hope you are recovering without problems. "Retired RN"

Graves Disease (autoimmine hyperthyroidism)
Is anyone here being treated with methimazole for Graves Disease? Have you had any problems losing weight when you do Keto 100%?

Daily Accountability
Does the challenge "Daily Accountability" have its OWN FORUM?

I have posted on the FS site and am now wondering if I'm missing something.

Hi, I,m New.... and all that goes with that...
I have never suffered for this but I have read that a quick fix is "pickle juice". I don't have an amount but why not take some, maybe start with a tablespoon and work up from that. Personally, I put a teaspoon of Himalayan salt in my daily water to replace some electrolytes lost due to Keto. Others use sugar free Gatorade or "bone-broth.
