I'm 50 yrs old, married & raising a 9 yr old grandchild. I'm dissabled, so I don't work. 4 yrs ago I had a mayor surgery after being chronically sick. My weight was 136 after surgery and was told that I could eat whatever I wanted...So I did. On April 2012 I joined the gym around the corner from my house and decided that I was not going to reach 200#. My weight was 189 then and at this moment I weigh 181. Nights are a struggle. I have the nuts (almonds) been changing all my eating habits. I finally got serious about loosing weight so I'm fallowing suggestions and raising my proteins (good ones). My problem is that I cannot control the consumption of Carbs...I'm a rice eater...I lowered portions and ways that I cook it but it's difficult no to eat some at least once a day...Basically @ dinner and still at nite I need to munch on something...PS...I have to take steriods for my condition...5mg x d...Well thats it...
