I am late thirties with three kids and a busy life. Since joining fatsecret my eating habits have changed a lot. In June 07 I stopped drinking coffee, I now eat lots of nutritious whole foods, I trying to exercise three times a week and am working towards eating little or no meat. I love my sweets and find the hardest thing for me is to refrain from eating snack foods, especially after dinner.

First thing I do when waking up
Thats true. Good Point. The more you can drink first thing in the morning, the less you need to worry about drinking water through out the day.

How to keep the faith
You’re certainly not alone. Some days I am so strong and focused, then something happens. I start with one, one more, last one, and last one for sure… I had the exact same thing happen to me at a family gathering. Someone made these chocolate brownies out of rice bubbles, mars bars and dairy milk chocolate. I ate too many, I couldn’t resist.

In hindsight I should have either left the table, sat on my hands or being chewing gum. Something to distract me.

Change one thing about my eating habits this week
I am going to make sure I eat an apple for morning tea every day this week.

Thats a great idea. I am going to try it. I always drink a bottle of water when I wake up (and for some strange reason when I drink it I always think that I am watering my insides like watering the garden), but forget to drink when I am at work.
