I'm a 33 year-old mother of a 13 and 11 year-old. I have struggled with my weight most of my life but in the past two years, I have started to get it together. I focus primarily on health and try to ignore the negative, harmful marketing campaigns that try to sell me gimmicks, promises, and shame.
What's worked for me: I've been slowly eliminating what's unhealthy from my diet and have been eating as "clean" as possible. Whole foods, lots of veggies, lean protein sources, beans. Lots and lots of water. Buying better quality food rather than cheap crap. Monitoring my sugar, fiber, and protein. No processed foods, white flour, added sugar, and artificial sweeteners.
Cardo: 2-3x week. Weight lifting: 3x week.
I may not be perfect but parts of me are fabulous.
