This is a HELP type post ...
I just strained my gluteas medias and maybe also one of my hamstrings and I'm going skiing next weekend!! Also how is this possiblly going to affect the weight loss. Also we are scheduled to go on a special anniversary bareboat catamaran (that means we'll sail her ourselves, not necessarily that we'll be nudeRolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I've been doing a form of CrossFit training after realizing that my 60 min. on the spin bike daily is not doing it.

This gym has put me on a 1450 calorie diet, and I am taking their classes 3 times a week and doing the 60 minute spin on the other 4.

The class has made me realize how much I have let my pliometric function degrade...I can't jump worth beans! I have been getting better, but have realized that my right hams/glutes are weak. I have gotten better over the month I've been taking classes, and what happened today wasn't even while I was there.

The top to the lid of my slow-cooker fell and [i]I quickly jerked my right leg up, bending my knee to avoid having the large, hot glass lid fall on my foot. I felt a stabbing pain in my glutes/hamstring. [/img] I can move, and actually movement makes it feel better, but any sudden lift of the knee is really painful.

I would be very grateful for any advice on how to actively help it heal....
