I am a retired U.S. Government employee and have lived in the mountains of North Carolina for about ten years. I lived most of my life in San Francisco California, where I worked for the Federal Volunteer Agency ACTION. There I trained several Government sponsored volunteer programs: Peace Corps, Volunteers In Service To America (VISTA), Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Foster Grandparents. I next worked for the U.S. Navy in Competency Based Certification, an employee training program. I then went to the Internal Revenue Service as a Labor Relations Manager. Finally, I went to the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights where I was an Enforcement Officer. I have retired to Black Mountain, North Carolina and live peacefully by a creek a few hundred feet from the Eastern Continental Divide. I travel frequently and I have been to Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, England, France, Italy,Spain, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands.
