I'm new to the group and due to an auto accident I take a lot of medication as well as for COPD/emphysema but I did stopped smoking it will be 1 year Aug. 20th . I have about 110 pounds to lose and I'm 61 years old. I'm not able to do a lot of activity because of my breathing issues but I have started to do a lot more than I use to. I just moved and there is a gym that I go to here at the complex I cant do much but I'm trying to do more every day. I have a limited income and I am trying to find recipes that I can stretch to more than 1 meal that is also healthy for me. I was never over weight until the accident and I was unable to be as active as I once was so that in itself is a challenge for me but I'm determined to so this. I do have bad days with my breathing this time of the year where I cant do much of anything so I have to allow for that as well and that's when my mood gets me down and its hard to really care but I know I have to do this. I would also like to know if anyone knows what you can do to try and help get rid of what I can " lap fat" that's when you belly is big and rest on your legs, I hate that about myself more than anything. I was also told about 2 weeks ago I'm now suffering with the Shingles and if you have had it or know anyone that has you can image just how painful that is as well. I have gone on long enough and will close now but the best things in my life are that I have a fantastic boyfriend and 8 wonderful grandchildren and 3 amazing children I just wish they lived near me.
