I'm a 28 year old mum with a 5 year old autistic son who is my world. I've just had a baby girl as well :) I have an amazing husband who supports me in everything I do. We've been married 6 years. This time the weight is coming off for good, I've made too many excuses for too long! My aim is to get from size 22(UK) to at least a size 14 (hopefully a 12!)

Want to start weight watchers
Thanks for that! Its good to see where it has worked long term, that's definately what I need! Hunger cues is definately something I struggle with. Unfortunately the only promotion at the moment in the UK is free registration, I have to pay the monthly online fee or weekly meeting fee. Which I don't want to do until I'm sure. Thanks again Smile

Want to start weight watchers
Hi everyone! I'm just looking for some advice please.

I was using slim fast until a few weeks ago but it was only ever supposed to be a starting block for my weight loss. I've done some research into the best type of longer term diet for me and I've narrowed it down to GI and weight watchers.
I'm leaning towards weight watchers but wanted some advice on the positives and negatives before I sign up (or whether its possible to follow it well without signing up)

Any comments would be gratefully received Smile

Fell off the wagon :(
I've been at slim fast since 5th Jan and I've lost 26lb in 2 months, but I have an awful lot to lose! The weight loss is slowing down now though. I've been trying to either walk somewhere that I normally wouldn't or doing the 30 day challenge on EA sports active on the wii as it only takes around 20 minutes. I know how you feel with no time to exercise, I'm either in work or looking after my son who's autistic and needs all of my attention. You can definately do it...we all have a bad day as long as 1 bad day doesn't turn into a bad week you'll be fine!!!

Starting Slim fast tomorrow! Any tips please :)
I've never tried but I've seen on another website that it can be done, but make sure you mix it properly!

The best advice I could give us stick to the plan as well as you can, I don't know if you are from the UK like me (I know the plan in other countries is slightly different) but I find if I have a shake, a meal bar and 3 snacks as stated as well as my 600 calorie meal you don't get hungry...just remember to space them out, the whole point is to keep your metabolism going to prevent you getting hungry.

I've lost 24lb in 7 weeks and stuck to it pretty well and managed to go out for meals with friends too. Most places have their menus and nutritional info on a website so you can make a sensible choice before you go.

Main three things that have helped me - resist the temptation to nibble, space the eating out and record everything you eat on here, I have the blackberry app for on the go and it has definately kept me on the right track.

Hope this helps a little bit (I know I ramble a bit!)
