Last night, I baked a Daffodil Chiffon cake. Why? First, because I had 14 egg yolks in my fridge and I'd hate to throw it out when a lot of people are starving all over the world and second, because i told you in my last journal entry, i have magic powers in cooking delicious and sinful simple carbs ^_^.
No, I didnt touch a crumb of the cake but my family loved it. I'm pretty sure it's good because it smells great. I believe we eat according to how good foods smell because when food is served, we smell the food first before we could even taste it.

Cruel irony, thats what it is when the only food group I can cook very well is carbohydrates. Not healthy carb dishes but rich baked goodies and tomato-sauce-meaty-pasta.
I thank God for cheat days. :)

this past week I have been dying for a plate of pasta -- be it spaghetti, lasagna, mac and cheese, as long as it was pasta. I couldnt understand why i have this craving where I have become slightly out of character (i.e. I was getting depressed because I thought i was losing control of myself and my diet, my workouts suck and i thought its because i was depressed, i was reading tons and tons if articles about food recipes, i had strong temptations to just eat everything in sight, and started smoking again to stave off these cravings.)
I should have known better.
My glycogen stores are depleted and I needed carbs in my system. I just upped my cardio and increased intensity in my weight training so naturally my glycogen will be gone.
So, I had a much needed cheat day today. This is my first cheat meal since implementing my diet plan (which is a cutting(low-carb) diet). Now, since this is my cheat meal I only increased my intake of protein, complex and fibrous carbs. I also had a red velvet cupcake for indulgence. I am now starting to think I did this cheat meal thing all wrong. I should have eaten more carbs than protein to refuel my glycogen stores, i should have had my cheat at the end of the day to control overdoing it.
well, lesson learned. I will do better next time.

i am not going to count my meal 3 calorie intake today because its my planned cheat meal (my cousin finished his bachelors degree :)).
my next cheat meal will probably be on my birthday.
