performance: losing 2.0 lb a week

Hi, I'm Tina, am 43 and live in the Highlands of Scotland. I recently had a huge wake up call regarding health and went from obese to morbidly obese whilst stopping smoking (and socializing). I started with watching my calorie intake, unfortunately not successfully, also medication I was on for the last 6 months left me exhausted (mentally and physically) so have even more weight to lose. Hey ho, lets do this properly this time!!!

I am starting this challenge at a weight of 255lbs and my goals to be rewarded are:
246 (17 stone 08lbs) = achieved 19/07/13 - reward, "Lush" bath
238 (17 stone 00lbs) = achieved 06/08/13 - reward, picture house
232 (16 stone 08lbs) = achieved 24/08/13 - reward, bedside lamps ................ 40 BMI - and no longer 'morbidly obese', just 'obese'..............
226 (16 stone 02lbs) = achieved 07/09/13 - reward, new mattress
220 (15 stone 10lbs) = achieved 26/09/13 - reward, motivational book
214 (15 stone 04lbs) = !By Birthday 21/11/2013 - reward, birthday cake!
208 (14 stone 12lbs) = Leighton Denny/OPI box set of funky nail colours
202 (14 stone 06lbs) = 35 and midway to overweight
194 (13 stone 12lbs) =
188 (13 stone 06lbs) =
182 (13 stone 00lbs) = Full body massage, I have not been here since being @ 20 as always comfortably sit at 13 1/2 stone (fat n fit :-) )
174 (12 stone 06lbs) = please stay motivated and let me get this far to buy non-structural underwear - 30 and now 'overweight'
166 (11 stone 12lbs) =
160 (11 stone 06lbs) = 27 and midway to healthy weight
154 (11 stone 00lbs) =
144 (10 stone 04lbs) = 'healthy weight' as less than 25 & I have not been here since being @ 16 years old

dates will be added once I have reached these goals and each week I lose weight (even a titchy bit) I will treat myself to a CD/DVD/something from cash converters or the charity shops - oh yeah!

How does anyone who doesn't have dairy get calcium?
Sardines - such a good idea. When I was 'googling' I searched as a vegetarian to cut out the dairy comebacks, so sardines didn't show. Ta xx

Omelette Ideas
If you want mushrooms in your omelette cook them in a small amount of water n 5g of butter first. The water cooks them and means you only need enough butter to brown them (coz that's when they are tasty) and then add courgette/zucchini, peppers, spring onions/scallions, or any other veggies. I then add the beaten eggs, take the pan off the heat and put a lid on. The omelette will be light n fluff up and then you can add hemp seeds, poppy seeds, cheddar n tomato; anything you fancy to make it that bit extra special - this omelette always tastes like you have used oodles of butter and haven't - enjoy Smile

How does anyone who doesn't have dairy get calcium?
It seems I have recently become intolerant to all dairy (I am hoping this is just for the hayfever season, rather than a permanent change). I can't eat/drink even a small amount on a daily basis without breaking out getting headaches, a congested chest & feeling out of it and a rash. I am now concerned about calcium intake. How does anyone who doesn't have dairy get calcium? Also, how much is a safe amount in supplement form (if this is the only way) as the coconut and hemp 'milk' I have is quite high in this - I feel better about the hemp milk as it comes from seaweed, am I right to feel better about this, or is it just as bad as any other calcium supplement? Any and all thoughts are welcome as this is completely new to me. PS, I also can no longer take soy or nuts, so alternative non-calcium supplemented 'milk' is out.
