I’m a divorced mother of two amazing and beautiful children, Jade and Devon, and am in a wonderful relationship with a man who is an unbelievable partner and completes my life in a way I didn’t believe was ever possible. Life is truly fantastic; my weight and current health...not so much LOL

A paralegal working for a local law firm that practices in many fields, I find myself glued to my desk and phone for most of my day. Quitting time comes around and then it’s out the door to jump in the car, pick up the kids, and head home where we then juggle the whole make dinner, help with homework, do laundry and relax routine.

Hmmm *looking at that cray cray schedule* ok but where the hell is the time or energy to work-out? LOL I know I need to do it but WHEN is the big question. I’m so drained and tired by the time I get off of work. Then totally wiped out by the time I get the rest of the nights stuff done and out of the way. I’m now on blood pressure meds for all of my bad habits. So with my boyfriend’s help, stuff is getting done earlier as he stresses the importance of a decent bedtime and getting adequate sleep. I’m now doing morning walks before I start my day off at work and make sure that when lunchtime hits that I don’t work through it but instead take another walk and do some resistance exercises and fulfill any challenges that I can during that time as well.

Previously diagnosed as Pre-diabetic, I am waiting on the most recent labs to see if anything has changed or not; the good, bad or the ugly LOL. My mindset is positive and solid: I AM going to drop this weight, and I WILL get healthy for myself as well as for my family. I'm interested in meeting like-minded individuals for support and insight as I make these changes and make a new path for myself in my life.

We need better fast food options
Yea that is sheer torture...I have always been a bread person and it was rough walking away from it all. *sniffle sniffle* lol.

In all honesty, the chicken is good across the board until you get to the sodium. That's where it goes to serious crap. Obviously you making it yourself it will be less calories, fat, carbs, sugars, and sodium but it does come in handy for those in a pinch moments. Unfortunately for ppl with high BP its not a option-or shouldn't be an option. I can't have more than 1300 mg of sodium a day. Most of the chicken tends to be around 1100 on up in the sodium dept which is why I don't do it. I start to feel it within a short while of eating it. My head starts beating horribly like a bunch of village idiots are drumming in my head, not to mention the swelling of feet and hands. lol

Amen to that UnclePen! And when you do happen to find a place that serves grilled chicken, it is so high in sodium that it is lethal. It's not an option to me with my BP being so high. I end up just waiting til I get home. A lot of the options at those places are the same so I am outta luck lol

What is too low for your RDI? Feeling tired and caught a cold.
From all my research and my doctor it is my understanding that we are to never go below 1200 calories a day so as to not lose muscle and also to make sure we do get proper nutrition.

I'm 257 pds and eat 1300 approximately each day. My RDI was supposed to be 2000 according to FS. yes I have been losing weight and eating extremely well. Wink
