I have never weighed this much. Weight gain a direct result of stress. And after being diagnosed with multipoint arthritis and in a recent motor vehicle accident I have been struggling with depression, inactivity and utter lack of motivation. There is no joy in my life and I'm hating being over weight.
I want to be active and slender again. I want to travel and laugh again....but until I can manage my diet and general health I will continue to feel trapped in my own miserable life.

How do I remove an item from my food diary?
Click on the food you've entered. It will take you a page that has that foods nutritional listings. On the right side of the page the foods portion will show up...it will ask you to save, or delete. Hit delete. Hope this helps.

By all means, emele and heather. Welcome. I've never created a group before and it's a small one, but I find it very helpful to message and post any progress, issues etc. I'm 58 with about 70 to lose and it's only been a week but again I'm finding this forum quite positive and productive. I too feel an urgency as I can't wait to begin enjoying my life again but all in good time. I keep telling myself, one dress size at at a time and I'll be able to wear my leather pants again...teehee...(hey if Madonna can wear leather then so can I.) Best of luck and post as often as you like about anything and everything.

Welcome to the group Nora. That is a challenge for all of us I think. Stressing about losing. We want instant gratification, we want to turn back the clock, we never want to struggle like this ever again. That's why it's baby steps because whatever changes we make they have to be changes we can live with for the rest of our lives.
Try switching up your food combinations. Combining higher protein options with lower carbs. For example if you have pasta only have it with sauce and vegis...sometimes switching things up triggers our metabolism into gear.
I think you'll find the support here very good. We have unique needs and challenges as maturer adults. Good luck.
