DESPERATE HELP NEEDED!! STUBBORN LOOSE WAIST FAT ....
Hi there people, My name is Ram, am 29 years old and am a doctor doing my masters degree in pathology in psgimsr, Coimbatore, india. Am single and I stay alone in a small room in a hostel. I don’t have access to home made food or a kitchen. I eat from nearby restaurants and my hospital canteen. My BMI is 23. I have a sedentary life style due to my profession. I usually don’t involve in sports activities. But I workout in my hospital gym 2 to 3 times a week. And try to keep my self in some physical activity all the time. For example I walk to work instead of taking my two wheeler and I use the stairs instead of taking the lift.
My main problem is over my past years I have developed a nice thick pad of fat around my waist. It is mainly localized in the posterior and lateral region above my gluteal region. I have tried dieting before. But whenever I diet the fat in the rest of my body seems to melt off except my waist fat which never disappears. I am a strict dieter and I never eat fried foods or excessive junk foods or soft drinks etc. The last time I dieted, it was an utter disaster. I looked 5 years older than my age and had severe hair loss. I sustained a trivial road traffic accident which resulted in a major ligament injury and I had to undergo surgery. So I am scared of losing weight now. I am really tired of trying various methods to lose this ugly flabby mass around my waist. I have read many books and I have finally learnt to strategise my diet to not more than 1400cals /day. But my waist fat is still persistent and protrudes like a flabby mass whenever I tuck in my shirt. I am really worried about this and I am thinking of going in to liposuccion.
My friends all stay so lean inspite of an excessive diet but I don’t know why I tend to accumulate waist fat all the time. The rest of my body parts appear to have the correct amount of fat sans my ugly waist.
Could one of you you please tell me what could be wrong and how i can go about in planning a correct diet?. I make my earnest request and plea to advice me regarding this issue.
