Weight History

Start Weight
255.7 lb
Lost so far: 8.2 lb

Current Weight
247.6 lb
Performance: gaining 1.5 lb a week

Goal Weight
172.0 lb
Still to go: 75.6 lb
It is my long term goal to practice CR. However, as a way to change myself towards becoming healthy, I am currently doing much weightlifting and treadmill while eating a mostly vegan diet (my wife is vegan, so that is simply easier). I am cutting out empty processed carbs. I also take supplements in relation to training with BCAA, Proteinpowder and Creatine. When I have used my current supply, I will not buy it again. Hopefully I will be below 100Kg in June and my general health much improved.

My blood sugar is 3.9 mmol/L (70.2 mg/dl), my cholesterol is 7.1 mmol/L (276 mg/dl), whereas my HDL is 0.73 (28,47 mg/dl) and my LDL is 6.00 mmol/L (234 mg/dl). My blood pressure is almost perfect.
I am 174 cm tall (5'9'')

Where can I meet Single People at?
I have found that everyone stays clear of a desperate person. I tried numerous dating sites, most norwegian, but also match.com. The few women I got to meet had also lied about different things, but what was most surprising to me was that they always seemed alot more intellectual online, and offline some of them bordered stupid.
I had given up when I found my fiancé. I was out with my friends to have fun (which was the first time I was in a night club in three years) and while dancing I bumped into her. Started dancing and whoa.

All the other women I have been with I met through friends or on campus. But every time love has come when I least expect it. And I am sure it will for you too. You truly are beautiful Wink

Fat/Carb/Protein breakdown and food advice
But it works, and carbs are the only of the three, your body doesn't need (it can get from the first two, but uses energy to do so, which is good)

You want controversy? OK here you go....
I don't EAT ALOT anymore. But I still think that some foods are comparable to alcohol and drug addiction. The way some foods alters hormone responses f.eks. And the reward systems of the brain which produces substances. There is proven an impact on brain chemistry with chocolate. Sugar alone mostly just fucks up your blood sugar and hormones (i.e. feeling full or feeling hungry).

the reward system in the brain functions to increase wanted behavior. Primary wanted behavior being eating, drinking and sex. The brain releases dopamine to reward these behaviors.
What does drugs do? Increase the dopamine levels!

Fat/Carb/Protein breakdown and food advice
If your goal is to lose weight and still be able to eat a good number of calories, you need to restrict your carbohydrate-intake. Protein and fats are both essential to your system and to get your weightloss going, you need to start burning fat. The body will not burn fat if it has carbs available. Protein: 30%, carbs: 5%, fats: 65%
If you are trying to gain muscle, also few carbs is needed, but eat more protein to fat. Protein: 60-70%, carbs: 5%, fats: 25-35%

Fasting and muscle loss controversy
There is a reason they push 6 meals a day if you eat carbs, yes. Because if you main fuel source is glukose, your blood sugar level will influence your cravings and cause additional problems. If you do atkins, which primarily burns fat, you feel no different and your metabolic system burns steadily all the time no matter if you eat or not or sleep or whatever.
As for the breakfast, I never realized it derived from breaking the fast. In Norwegian the word means early meal. the same in German.

thank you, and good luck to you too!
