Hi Cnith. I saw your characters before but couldn't make them out. What is the image? Geraldo rivera tweeted the other day and made a human with his hands in the air using keys I never saw before.

Welcome to speak with you - and most people didn't get the handle - or the meaning - but of course now they will look it up. NSITIAS! Smile

I think it's supposed to be a cat but the ascii characters got screwed up and I don't know how to change my signature anymore. So you have a weird stretched out cat with its back to you. And of course I knew it was you. Wink Been around the 'net for ages. I recognize people.

In any case, just keep an open mind. Lots of Atkinites will tell you that the High Fat Low Carb diet thing works and lots have maintained the loss for years and still healthy. Courtney Thorne-Smith for one (a celebrity) has kept hers off for decades. Of course, not all Atkin-ites follow the plan and then it gets dangerous, like you suggested.

That's the problem. People want all the thrills but none of the work. High fat CANNOT work if you're still eating lots of carbs. The body prefers carbs, as you might know. They're easy to use and easy to store. That's why vegans have to eat every couple of hours, that stuff just goes right through you. High protein and fat are harder to digest so you feel fuller longer. However, if you don't give up the carbs you have coronary issues because, since your body's not using them, they go straight to fat stores.

I hope that made sense. Tell me, what journals are you reading now? I've lost touch a bit but I love reading the medical journals. Smile

Diet Pills

How does everyone feel about diet pills? I recently began to take the Alli pills and I also bought a mood elevating over the counter medication. I feel that my biggest issue is the lack of motivation. I get home from so tired I do not want to workout, but I push myself to at least workout 30 mins and I'm constant on my pill intake regimen.

If you wait for motivation, it will never happen. Just put it on your calendar as if it was a boring ()*) meeting that you HAVE to attend. Then go to said meeting. Work out, and be done til tomorrow.

What's your motivation? How much do you love the person in the mirror's body? If you're happy with it, don't do the meeting. You're golden. But if you're not, go to the meeting!
