Things I hate about being overweight
Being overweight all of my teen/adult life I have to agree with most of the comments on this thread. I actually had Gastric Bypass WLS 5 years ago and lost 115 lbs. It was the best decision I made at the time and was so happy as the weight fell off over the first year of time. I was one who had to really work at it though. I did not eat anything that was restricted for the first year and I exercised extensively. Well in the last 4 years some of the weight has slowly crept back on. 33 lbs may not be alot to some people, but when you lose it to gain it back is the worst feeling of failure. I am now trying to stick with an Atkins type diet and hope that it will give me back some piece of mind and loss of the regained weight. I think I am scared of the horrible feelings I will/do have about myself more than hate myself for being overweight. I hate that it is a constant struggle in my life that never seems to go away even after a life altering surgery that was supposed to be the answer.
