What is better for losing weight: weightlifting or jogging?
I've always lost more (inches) and felt better doing light lifting. I struggle getting the weight off with just cardio. I think you need both. I also think that you need the muscle and strength training for running or cardio, because you could cause injury to yourself.

I started Atkins four weeks ago and down 15 lbs. I backslided a few weeks and didn't lose any. Went from first weighing in at 256 to now 241.
