atkin shakes
Net carbs are the ones to count. They are technically OK, but I personally had to drop the shakes and bars, even the induction friendly ones. The sugar alcohols stalled me big time. So if you happen to hit a brick wall, that is the first thing to drop.

Cost of eating healthy
If you avoid eating out and buying all the extras and shop the sales, it is actually much less expensive. Even doing low carb my grocery bill has gone down, partially because my appetite is under control and partially because I've eliminated eating out almost completely.

Shop the sales, eat in season produce, drink tap water instead of soda. You can be healthy and frugal.

Marijuana, weed, pot
Illegal and wrong are so often not synonymous. The reasons for the ban on marijuana were more arbitrary and politically motivated than anything. Alcohol used to be illegal as well, which caused more problems than it solved.

This is coming from someone who has never touched it. I've just seen too many people smoke too much and become lazy and stupid. There is nothing morally wrong with enjoying in moderation. I also have enough problems keeping weight off without increasing my appetite.
