Born and raised in Iowa. Moved to Texas in 1988. My husband and I have 4 children, his and mine, and 4 grandchildren. I have not always had weight problems. In fact, most of my life, I was pretty thin. A few years ago, I suddenly began having asthma problems so was on large doses of steroids. You know what that does to a person. I gained 30 pounds in one month. Then I started having heart problems so that meant more medicine. I had bypass surgery. Then came Rheumatoid Arthritis and more meds. With more meds came more weight. I developed diabetes and doctor added more medicine. I do walk and some stretching exercises. I ordered a Tai Chi tape to see if that helps any. Trying to eat right is tough as husband is strictly a "meat and potatoes" guy. I hate cooking two meals every night.
So I am trying to exercise and eat right, but not well enough. My weight is yo-yoing so much. I would really like to take off a few more pounds; I need to lose 50 but I am starting small.
