I've been slacking but I know if I return to clean eating the weight will come back down. I'm realizing that for me, it's normal to put on small amounts (5-10lbs) of weight because I love to eat, especially when I travel to exotic places. I went to cooking school and worked as a chef so the love of food will always be there. I actually don't want to eat perfectly all the time. We went to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard and at first, I stuck to raw oysters on the half shell and salads but slowly, I started to taste artisan cheeses, ice cream, fried oysters and before I knew it, I was telling myself "relax, you are on vacation'. Well, I'm done feeling any sort of way about and will accept that years of yo-yo dieting has shot my metabolism and perhaps that is why I was able to put on 7lbs in just one week of vacationing.

I have kept the bulk of my weight off now for 13 years! Staying within 5-10 lbs is pretty good so when I see the weight creeping back up, I'll buckle down and take care of it.
