MS and Fibro
Hi gramltg,
Flare ups are no fun and they take forever to get through! I just had a pretty good one over the weekend and still feeling the effects but not just as bad. I have RA and Fibro! For a while the neuro and my other docs weren't sure whether I had MS or not, but now, It is just the two! I exercised for three days in a row just walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes and that set mine off bad! Last night was the first attempt at exercising again because of it. I would suggest the treadmill and here is why!

1. You will have a tangible number/goal that you can work towards.
2. You can keep track of how many minutes of walking and the rate of how fast or slow the walk.
3. That way, you can have an actual goal to work towards, you will know what your body is able to handle before it flares.

Start slow and blaring like I did! I used to be able to do a whole lot more and was trying to start where i was before, wrong! I learned that I need to start off slow and build up!

Two years ago, I gained 60 pounds due to my illness! Couldn't do anything, and I am sure you know how that is! I used to bike to work do all sorts of exercise, you name it! Now, it is a totally different story.

I finally decided to not let my illnesses control my life and who I am. So, I am back on the wagon! I know I will lose my weight. It may take a very long time, but I have to believe I will get there with God's grace and mercy!
