My name is Bri and I'm 22 years old. Growing up I had a fast metabolism and could eat anything and not gain weight... then I hit puberty and got visited by the boob and butt fairy and suddenly my metabolism wasn't so fast anymore. I started gaining weight slowly and my dad was harsh on the weight gain which only made me eat more and gain a horrible self image. I tried to hide the weight gain by wearing baggy clothes but that only encouraged the weight gain.
I then joined the army and lost a bunch of weight and got in really good shape until I got injured. After that it went all down hill. I stopped exercising and lived on a tight budget so the food I ate was not good for me.
Three years later with bad legs, a faulty thyroid and thirty to forty extra pounds.... I am at my heaviest and I am terrified to see myself in pictures and in full body mirrors.
I work a good job that keeps me busy and I stay involved in activities but I tend to sit around alot.
I'm working on changing that and have started the Atkins diet to help take off the weight and will make use of my free apartment gym.
I'm working towards a healthier me and I have a dress to fit into this May and a bikini to be in this July.... and I want to not be embarrassed by my weight.
