Hi I'm Ashley. I'm 24 (almost 25) years old. I have a very active husband and two dogs who are also very active and require exercise every day. I've never really been overweight, thanks in part to genetics and the consciousnesses to know when I need to cut back on food. I've been a member of this site for 2 years now, but never really paid attention til now.
It's February 2012 right now, and thanks to the holidays and my lack of self control (and the excuse "it's cold outside"), the scale 4 days ago said 6 pounds heavier than my pre-holiday weight. Though these pounds do not show in my stomach (like I said above, "genetics") they do show in my thighs and butt. You may not think it's a lot, and okay sure, compared to most it really isn't. But it's not the way I want to be, look, and feel.
Thus, initiate operation "lose inches around my butt and thighs." My plan consists of a diet of 1500 calories or less a day, walking/jogging/running (if I can build back up to enjoying running) 3 miles 5 days a week, and lower body exercises (squats, plie squats, leg lifts, abdominal exercises, etc...). Ok, so I only want to be 130 pounds. Mostly, I want to be in shape (and look smokin' on the beach). There ya go. :-)
For lent, I'm giving up my lack of self-control. It's now time to be the hot woman I've always wanted to be!!
