Let's see about me. I'm a 29 year old vegetarian. Im also a total food snob when it comes to eating fresh local organic products. Im lucky enough to live in an area where I can find these things easily and cheaply.
I have a petite build, 5' 3", & used to be in such kicking shape from dancing. I was 112-120 max in those days. 4 years ago I joined the professional world. I took for granted that my body had always looked tiny. There was access to awesome free local cheese and cocktails at my workplace. So combine an insane schedule with no exercise, free cheese, and alcohol = 4 years later my weight topped off at 141 with most of the extra balanced on top of my arse and hips.
About my self created excercize/diet plan:
My diet, is basically not a diet at all. Im choosing to excercize off (fast road biking 36 miles per day) the weight while counting calories to make sure that I eat only exactly what my body would need to maintain weight without all the excercize. That way I figure be aware of how many calories are in the normal foods I eat, even once winter sets in. I've increased the amount of protien I eat mostly because I crave it as my body more muscularly toned again. I've realized that drinking alcohol has lots of calories and makes me snack on high calorie things (cheese). So I've reduced how much I drink per week from 5 or 6 drinks to 0 to 2. I also am not eating much sugar, except for the occasional soft serve ice cream.
My normal behavior is to eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies, locally made whole grain breads, nuts, local artisan cheese, and tofu, beans, and eggs. I also love avocado and white fizzy wine. I have a kick ass garden that is currently supplying me with salad greens, kale, swiss chard, eggplant, basil, peppers, onions, carrots, radish, and beets. In a few weeks Ill also have haricot verts, edamame, tomatoes, arugula, zucchini, melons, and delicata squash. A bit later on Ill have potatoes, spinach, acorn squash, and butternut squash.
