I'll try your suggestion to balance the fat and protein. I'm sure a few small tweaks is all I need - just haven't found 'em yet.

I just started the Adkins bars and shakes and meals last week. I was out of town on business and needed some travel friendly foods. I have a few left over.

The peanuts aren't a normal part of my diet. I was feeling a little light headed yesterday so I had a few. NANY actually suggests eating some after the first 2 wks in induction for that. The few days my cals were on the higher end was usually the result of fattier cuts of meat. I'm choosing leaner cuts now. I record everything i eat (used a different app before yesterday) and bought a good digital food scale 2 weeks ago because I thought I might not be estimating portion size correctly but still nothing. I am a BIG coffee drinker. maybe i'll try switching to half-caf. Exercise I know I need. For some background info, I lost 40 lbs 4 years ago and got to my goal weight and kept it off but I quit smoking a year ago December.... it all came back. Its frustrating. any other suggestions?

starvation mode
Roughly 1200-1500 calories per day over the last over the past 5 weeks. A few days hit around 1700 but that's rare.
