Fat in foods
Surprisingly enough, vegetables do have fat... just not a lot of it. Also it is the good kind of fat so its not so bad as if you were getting that fat from meat, cheese, etc.
The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends this distribution for the energy nutrients:
Fat: 20 - 35% of total calories (average 30%)
Protein: 10 – 35% (average 15%)
Carbohydrates: 45 – 65% (average 55%)
