I'm 45 now and I can't remember/count how many times I have had to start or should I say restart a weight loss program.

Over the years, I have lost 50 pounds twice, 40 pounds once, and 30 pounds once, 25 pounds, and 10 pounds the last time!

Each time however, I have regained the weight, and then some.

I am an emotional eater, and I have used food to make me feel happy.

Portion sizes, and fast food are my two big issues.

To achieve my goals, and to end the cycle of yo yo dieting I am trying to get a better understanding on why I eat the portion sizes I do.

Feel free to follow me if you would like some support, and maybe we can help each other reach our goals.


Update August 2018: I reached 269 pounds on January 1, 2017 - worst point ever. I lost about 22 pounds over 18 months just watching portion sizes. I have now started intermittent fasting and started to log everything I eat. Trying to hover between 1800 and 2000 calories a day, and lower my sugar intake.

My goal is still 165 pounds - have to lose another 75 pounds to get there.

custom calorie rdi
In your daily food diary there is a link at the bottom to calculate your RDI - I followed the link / hit calculate and then after it presents your calculated RDI there is a save button - beside the save button there is a field that display a your calculated RDI - you can click into the field and override the calculated number.

Anyone else on 16/8 intermittent fasting plan?
Hi - Second week on this plan. Has been easy to adjust.

Have lost some weight, but pretty sure the rate of loss will slow down. Sometimes water weight goes quickly.

Just wondering what other folks experience has been on this program?

I have been on and off and on this site for about 7 years - funny thing is I would be happy to just be where I was then.

Have to lose weight now for sure - border line diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Motivated to get to 165lbs!

How do I remove an item from my food diary?
If you click on the item you want to remove, and go into the spot where you can modify the portion size you ate, there is a button near the bottom of the page that says delete.
