I'm approaching 50. I will hit the Big Five O November 2017. I have always hovered around 30 lbs over weight. I used FatSecret a few years ago and had success in loosing close to all the weight by watching calories only. Gained it ALL back plus a few. I've been away from the site for a good while - but hope it is as motivating for me now as back then.

I'm changing my approach. I feel so bad after eating. Tired, bloated, just generally BLAH! I have come to the conclusion it is the carbs that are messing with me now. As I approach the menopausal years I've gained the weight in places I never gained before....

ANYWAY... I'm basically counting carbs. I'm 'kinda' doing the Low Carb/High Fat diet but not so concerned with going all out Keto. I'm not going overboard with the fats.

I work as an Information Security Officer at a community college, mother of one, wife of a terrific guy, and human-mom to a sweet little dachshund. I want to be healthy for all of them... and for myself.

The weight loss is a goal but my primary motivation is my health.

I have seen that happen and there is no way to change THAT item... but I keep looking and usually find the same item with the units I want. I've just been on a week and I've started adding my own items so I have the units I want.
