Hi, I am 58 years old, married for 38 years to my college sweetheart. we have 2 great adult children that are married,and the love of my life... my 2 grandsons. I need support in losing weight. I am very miserable with my weight and for health reasons really need to get with a program. I am a breast cancer survivor, really enjoy life, have a great sense of humor and I AM A TEXAN!

Switching to slim fast
Hello, you know that I just recently went to a Nutritionist (after visiting with a DR and therapist) about lap band surgery. Before the surgery you have to go on a Slim Fast low carb diet to skrink your liver and also to see if you can even stay on a liquid type diet. The nutritionist said that some people do so well (loose weight) on the slim fast low carb that they opt out on the surgery and save the $16,000. After a visit with Nurtitionist, I decided that surgery was not for me (I am 58 ) and I heard about Fatsecret. today I drank my first slim fast low carb. I am going to drink one for lunch and then eat a atkins dinner.

Just starting at 58
My name is Linda and at 58 years and old my life is slipping away from me .... at least that is how I feel. I am weighing in at 218 (I'm 5'7" Wink

and my belly is getting the best of me. It is my bad gene that came along from my Mom. Hate it hate it. My back hurts, I can't bend over.. I am miserable and don't have enough energy to get much done. I saw on a day time tv a rerun of 3 ladies who were buddies on fatsecret. I found the website and thought this is the time! I need support and a buddy. I have invited my sister - she also has the belly gene but not as bad as me.

Thanks for listening. How do I get a buddy from here?
