I am 23 years old and I live in the Netherlands together with my fiancé and our sweet dog. I have three chronic auto immune diseases; Ulcerative Colitis and Autoimmune Hepatitis are causing most troubles. I've had (and still have) many medications amongst which prednisone, due to which I gained a lot of weight. In addition to the weight gain, I also have high bloodpressure, which I hope will lower as I lose weight.
My physician and I are trying to lower the prednisone to a minimum level (hopefully none!) at the moment, after two years of higher doses of prednisone. My condition has not been the way it used to be for 3.5 years now, but now that my chronic (auto immune) diseases seem more under control, I want to try build up my condition, eat healthier and lose weight.
My goal is to get back to the 65 kg I weighed before my chronic diseases manifested, but I did agree with myself to do so in my own pace, no rush or hurry. I really have no idea whether 65 kg is an appropriate and feasible goal, but if not, we can always adjust that along the way.
I am currently seeing a dietician and she helps me losing wait. She gives me advice and provides me with healthy and alternative food. I usually only weigh when I'm there, so the kg right now is just a guess. I did weigh about 1,5 month a go at the physio.
Looking forward to challenge myself and follow other people on their challenge to a healthier and happier life!
