Battling depression
Hey there, I'm so sorry. I've had my bouts with depression and it's tough. I think one of the best things would be to exercise and maybe think about doing some meditation or take a yoga class. Yoga has been my lifesaver and has helped me through some intense times in my life. There are many alternative practices out there that can help you with depression--whether it's Tai Chi, yoga or simply taking a walk outside and connecting with nature.
This is a really good article--hope you can find some comfort in the words.

Take care and take it one day at a time.

QUICK QUESTION.

Hey
Theoretically, it could..
Well, I mean it opens your eyes to the amount you really eat and then helps you to evaluate it, like should I really have had
that
, could I swap this for that in the future?
Plus if you're aiming for a calorie target, like I am, it helps you stay within it... (most days!)
Hope that helped
Yes! I'm working with a trainer/fitness coach (who is also a life coach)--she's amazing. I'm actually writing down what I eat and my exercise each week and it does help. I'm also writing down my emotions that are associated with each day to see if there is a trigger between my emotions, what I eat, etc. It really, really helps!

Diet pills can really mess up your heart and they are very dangerous. I hope you'll think about other healthy alternatives.
Good luck!

Lacking energy
Deserve Victory wrote:
I find in the evenings I completely lack the energy and motivation to do any type of exercise, especailly now that its hot outside. I have to get up really early for work so working out in the mornings is out of the question. I'm so lathargic after work its disgusting. I really really need to work out. I own a stationary bike and yoga, pilates and belly dancing DVDs, and I quite enjoy them(ok maybe not the bike so much). But how do I perk up my energy and motivation levels to actually do them??
Hi Deserve, I know it's tough to stay motivated but maybe you can work out later in the evening when it's cooler. Also, make sure you are drinking a LOT of water (that might have something to do with feeling lethargic).
These are some other tips that might help you. Good luck!

QUICK QUESTION.
Hi there, journaling really helps give you an idea of what you're eating. I'm working with this great fitness and holistic health coach and I am journaling not only what I eat and my water intake, but my emotions and how I was feeling that day. It really helps. I'm getting more out of the emotional part than actually the food part. I'm a writer so this works for me (the journaling aspect). Also, our emotions are very tied to our perceptions and how we feel about food. It's all connected!
This is a great article and it's so true--we sometimes turn to food when we are angry or sad.

Hope this helps--good luck
