I live between the sunny island of Barbados (where I was born) and Connecticut (where I grew up).

I own my own travel agency and I own a chocolate company. I have two children in their 30's - a matched set. They are the light of my life and my shining stars.

I started on FS in 2013, then again in 2017, and now in 2021. I mean to lose a good deal of weight I've been holding onto for years. I have knee issues, and losing the weight won't hurt at all. Plus I'm looking forward to looking great in that little black dress. :) So far, so good.

Legs and Thighs
Thanks for the motivation, all.

I have some weight on my knees as well. That needs to go also. It's not terrible, but it needs to go!

P90 is the original Power 90 kick-butt bootcamp DVDs with Tony Horton. There have been a few updates since the original, but it's what I have on hand, and it works fine for me for now.

Ah, the stairs. I do remember those. Smile I am currently in Barbados long-term, so there's not much chance of stairs here unless I'm in the mall or in an office building, or in a house with two stories, which is available, but not the norm here. I work from home, and no stairs here. We have a two-family house, but separate apartments with our tenants upstairs. I do miss climbing up to my sanctuary at night in my last house in the States.

But saying that, stairs are fine on my knees. No problem there. It's weird, I know. Arthritis runs in the family, so we've all had that funny, laughable cracking knee from teenagers. It's not laugable now, however. Smile

Legs and Thighs
Thanks. I went back to P90 for a short time about three/four months ago, but the knee was doing weird things since I was trying new exercises like the plié squats, and I stopped. Plus I let being busy get in the way. I will go back to the P90.

Out of six girls, I'm the only one with this major problem. I have my mother's legs. I know they can be toned - I've done it before. But it just sucks. So ends my vent for the day. =/

Legs and Thighs
I see a lot of posts about saddlebags, but that's not my problem. I have issues with legs and inner thighs that grow the more I gain weight. How are you dealing with this? I know I can't be the only one with the inner thigh issue. I believe P90 worked for me years ago when I was oh so good at losing weight and maintaining my size eight. I'm going to try that again.

Oh, and squats hurt my knees, so I can't do them. The last time I did a plié squat routine for about a week, my knee went out from just sitting on the couch.

Jumping rope is no problem (go figure). I started and then stopped, so I have to get my butt back in gear on that also.
