Hello! I'm a 45 year old male that needs to shed some unwanted weight. I'm 6' tall and have weighed over 200lbs since I was a sophomore in HS. After some time in the military I got married and we had a few kids and I ballooned up to 290lbs. In 2001 I dropped down to ~240lbs but after a back injury in 2005 I've slowly crept up to 290 again. I eat what most would consider a normal diet and it has done me no favors.

In Feb 2015 after talking to a nutritionist I started a Paleo diet being sponsored by a group of local Doctors/Nutritionists. During my initial sign-up they took blood, weight, measurements etc.... My blood pressure was way out of bounds (168/125) and they made me make an appointment to get checked out further.
After 1 month I have lost 15 lbs and my blood pressure is 124/80!
My goal is to get down to 200lbs and live until I'm 120!

Not eating enough calories before I max out my carbs
I've been trying to keep my carbs under 50 with 20 as my target. I've been doing fairly OK with that and losing weight steadily.

There are many choices ...maybe try eating a nice Steak or a packet of Tuna in sunflower oil, or a jalapeno burger with pepper jack!
