I have a part time desk job (6 hours a day 5 days a week), four kids ages 12-19, and am turning 41 in a few days. I have shoulder and knee problems that I have let dictate my exercise level. This past year I have gained 30 pounds. I have to shed it. I love to cook and bake so it will be a lifestyle change not just a diet I will have to commit to. An additional hurdle will be cutting back the fast food we eat when one of our four has a game at dinner time---which is always.

Phentermine experiences?
I started this diet without Phentermine. About two weeks in my doctor suggested I try it, if I was willing to be on his terms. He is really strict about only offering it for a maximum of three months and then only if goals are met monthly.
I had used Phentermine several years ago and knew it could work for me. 8 years ago I gave up soda with the help of Phentermine. I kept that thirty pounds of for 7 years-- that is success in my mind. This time it will be harder. I don't have one easy culprit to cut out.
I am wondering if anyone else has used this drug and what your long term benefit was, or ideas you have on the subject.

Soda coca cola/Dessert
I used to drink 3 cans at work, a large from McDonald's when I left work and at least two 16oz. glasses of coke around dinner time. I used phentermine back then (8 years ago) which made soda taste like syrup, thick sweet grossness. I gave it up after a few days. I dropped 30 pounds like it was nothing. I'm not saying use phentermine, I am just saying it os SO worth quitting to drop that weight FAST. The best part...it still tastes like crap to me. I drink ice tea and water now, with an occasional juice thrown in when I want flavor.
