After months of exercising and calorie counting, I've surpassed my goal weight! No super model flat stomach though... I guess my doctor was right, some bodies just aren’t able to have one. LAME!

Oh well, now I am in maintenance mode, just keep doing what I'm doing and keep the weight off. If I gain some muscle that's fine too. :)

Oh this is a bio and not just a place for random thoughts? Excuse me while I go into my mind palace.
__________

Hello! I enjoy what seems to be a sedentary lifestyle. I hold a 9-5 office job and my hobbies include reading, playing video games, watching anime - currently InuYasha (thanks Hulu!) - and a bunch of other things I can't think of at the moment. I have a wonderful rescue mutt that keeps me decently active and my fiancé keeps me on my toes as well. :D

I am currently following the workouts from Jillian Michaels Body Revolution. I never follow the eating portion of any workout plan, because I have an addiction to ice cream... There I said it! I have to have one serving every night! Maybe that's why I can't get that ideal stomach... Nah! :P I know - to make eating ice cream "healthier" I'll invest in an ice cream maker! That way I'll know all the ingredients or something... Okay, fine, I just really want an ice cream maker. :)

Anyways, to help me with calorie counting I prepare a Bento for lunch during the weekdays. Then on the weekends I just eat whatever I can find. I should really stop doing that and start planning my meals. But it makes the weekend fun not knowing what I am going to eat! Or at least that's what I tell myself... but really I just want to make excuses for my overeating. :/

XS Energy Drinks
I tried scouring the forums for anything posted on XS Energy Drinks sold by Amway but I didn't find anything on them... Embarassed Sorry if this question has been asked before.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried them out and had any bad side effects or anything? My friend gave me a box of them to try out and I like most of the flavors, except sometimes there is a stale/weird aftertaste...

They are marketed as energy drinks having 8 calories with 0 carbs and 0 sugars, which sounds great, but there is sucralose in it and I've always been told to stay away from artificial sweeteners. But if it is the 5th to last ingredient that means there shouldn't be too much in it right?

Quote:
Carbonated Water, Taurine, L-Glutamine, Caramel Color, Phosphoric Acid, Proprietary Herb Blend (Eleutherococcus Senticosus, Panax Ginseng, Panax Quinquefolium, Schisandra, Astragalus, and Reishi), Caffeine, Acesulfame, Potassium, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Natural Cola Flavor, Sucralose, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, HCI, and Cyanocobalamin.

I'm wondering if it's okay to drink one or two a day or if I should try to pawn them off on someone else... Confused Thanks for any input!

Chocolate protein powder
I use Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard Double Rich Chocolate and it tastes great! I buy mine from Amazon, but you can probably find some at your local GNC store. It's only 3 carbs per scoop... I think. Smile

The rational and scientific weight loss discussion thread
In your first post you didn’t say anything about lifting weights or gaining muscle... So here goes nothing!

I think I have leaned out enough to where I am comfortable, but now I would like to start getting some definition and muscles. I wouldn't mind even putting on some weight if it meant I had muscles. Is there a proper way to do this?

Whenever I gain weight it's always around my stomach. Then I cut back on eating until I am at a comfortable weight/my stomach deflates. Will the weight eventually dissipate from my stomach and become muscle elsewhere? I finished ChaLean Extreme a week ago and am now following Jillian Michaels Body Revolution; both of which are a combination of weights and cardio. Although Jillian Michaels doesn't seem to have a lot of weight exercises yet.

Any insight would be valued. Very Happy
