My name is Tara Lynn and I gained more weight then I wanted after a surgery on my arm. Shattered one bone and snapped the other in my left arm. This led me to basically being in a drug induced stupor on my couch for a few months and I can honestly tell you I don't even know that I showered regularly let alone ate anything good! I want to get back to my normal weight and be able to maintain that weight. I am a 25 year old US Army Veteran and a student working towards becoming a teacher. I live with my husband and our four fur kids- 2 corgis and 2 cats.
My biggest obstacles in getting into shape are my physical limitations. I suffered severe nerve damage from the surgery and still (a year and a half later) cannot feel parts of my hand or support much weight on my arm. I also suffer from a hip and knee issue from my time in the Army. I cannot walk more then 1 mile and cannot run at all due to these issues. My hip dislocates and my knee swells up and is un-bendable. Which makes cardio a severe pain in the butt!! I can not jump at all either because of the knee. Having such limited exercises available to me makes losing weight pretty difficult :( But I know I can do this!
