During my twenties and thirties, my weight hovered between 170 and 185. When I weighed 187 in 2006, I joined Curves and began walking every day. My walking eventually upgraded to jogging, and I lost 30 pounds that year! I followed the Curves diet which is very similar to Weight Watchers. It taught me how to choose foods wisely as I understood exactly how many carbs or fat grams or protein I ingested. I have not gained more than five pounds since then, and I always am able to work it back off when I do gain. By keeping track of what I eat, I am able to consistently keep my weight down. Folks say that they'd rather not be deprived of delicious foods... but the feeling of accomplishing what I thought was impossible is better than any cheesecake I've ever eaten!
