I'd avoid carbonated beverages. Better to drink water, almond milk, fruit juice (if you're not diabetic), tea. Go off anything carbonated for 3 months (basically, 1 season) and see what happens. I dropped 20 pounds in 3 months just swearing off of all carbonated drinks.

1200 Calories and can't lose weight?
Well, check in with your doc and make sure all is well general health-wise.

How old are you? How active are you? Are you male or female? etc

I do low carb but this is because I have diabetes, and it has worked like a charm for me in taking weight off.

What is better for losing weight: weightlifting or jogging?
I'd say lifting weight. What this does is burns the fat IN the muscle. It also gets your body to a point where even when you're just sitting reading a book, you're burning calories more efficiently. I have been fighting fatty liver disease, and I've noticed that as I've done fat-burning weight lifting, my liver pain has eased and my triglycerides have improved GREATLY.

But do maintain cardio exercise to keep your heart strong and healthy.
